Construction Billing & Controllership

Pay apps out clean. Cash in faster. Zero rejections for a math error.

Silver Cloud is the outsourced billing and controllership department for electrical and mechanical subcontractors building the Northern Virginia data-center corridor. We run your AIA pay applications, retainage, lien waivers, and job costs — so the field can focus on the build.

Who We Serve

Built for the trades powering the data-center boom

The build-out will stress Northern Virginia's electrical and mechanical trades for a decade. Subs grow on the work faster than their back offices can keep up — and construction billing is uniquely brutal on cash flow. That's the gap we close.

Electrical & Mechanical Subs

Specialty trade subcontractors on mission-critical and data-center infrastructure work.

Northern Virginia Corridor

Loudoun, Prince William, and Fairfax counties — where the data-center work actually is.

$1M–$10M, Billing Monthly

Firms submitting monthly AIA pay applications to general contractors — big enough to feel the pain, lean enough to not have a controller in-house.

Services

Three levels, one ladder

Start where the pain is — billing — and expand as you grow. Every engagement is a fixed monthly retainer: you know the cost before the month starts, and we never bill by the hour.

Tier 1 — The Core

Pay-App & Cash-Flow

  • AIA G702/G703 preparation & submission
  • Schedule-of-values management
  • Retainage tracking
  • Lien-waiver tracking
  • Change-order logging
  • AR follow-up & DSO reduction
  • Weekly cash snapshot
Tier 2

Full-Charge + Controllership

Everything in Tier 1, plus:

  • Full bookkeeping — AP/AR, bank & card reconciliation
  • Job-cost setup & maintenance
  • Monthly WIP schedule
  • Monthly close + financial statements
  • Payroll processing support
Tier 3

Controller-Plus / Reporting & Analysis

Everything in Tier 2, plus:

  • 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast
  • Budget-to-actual by job
  • KPI dashboard — gross margin, overhead absorption, backlog
  • Quarterly review
  • Bonding & surety reporting prep, coordinated with your CPA
How pricing works: a fixed monthly retainer, quoted after a short diagnostic of your books and billing workflow. Onboarding covers cleanup, chart-of-accounts and job-cost structure, and software stand-up — so the retainer starts on a clean foundation.
Our Lane

What we do — and what we deliberately don't

Silver Cloud works exclusively in the non-attest lane. That's a design choice, and it's why your CPA will like working with us.

We handle the operations

  • Construction billing — pay apps, retainage, lien waivers, change orders
  • Bookkeeping, reconciliation, and monthly close
  • Job costing and WIP schedules
  • Cash-flow forecasting and management reporting

We stay out of the attest & tax lane

  • No audits, reviews, or CPA-attested financials
  • No tax preparation, filing, or IRS representation
  • We are not a CPA firm, and we don't pretend to be

Keep your CPA — they'll thank you. We feed your tax professional clean, organized, job-costed books all year, so year-end stops being an excavation. Silver Cloud is the layer your CPA wants underneath them, not a replacement for them.

About

Run by someone who has lived your billing cycle

Silver Cloud Accounting L.L.C. is operated by Tyler Muneses, whose experience comes from running the books inside a data-center general contractor — the other side of the pay applications you submit every month. That means your billing is prepared by someone who knows exactly what the GC's project accountant is going to check, and what gets a pay app rejected.

The firm is deliberately small and high-touch: a handful of clients, served like a department of their company rather than a line item on ours.

How we work

  • QuickBooks Online + Knowify house stack — native AIA billing, retainage, and job costing
  • We work in your GC's Procore when the job requires it
  • Your data file is yours — fully portable, always
  • We never hold your banking credentials

Tired of chasing your own money?

Tell us about your firm and your billing setup. If we're a fit, the next step is a short diagnostic of your books — and if we're not, we'll say so.
